Samsung Touch Of Color T260HD 25.5-Inch LCD HDTV Monitor Review

I bought this monitor a year ago to help with my research. As a graduate student at any time I have an open document that I write, I am a big magazine or an article, maybe a program I wrote, and perhaps a web browser. With the screen size, I almost have it all at once to minimize and nothing! It works so well with the Windows-7-snap. If I write a report and a document I am quoting, I can only take a left and another right. At the moment I see the whole page size on both sides, and comfortable writing my paper.

Footage, text … almost everything looks fantastic on the monitor. I have an HDMI input from my computer and I am with the walk to the TV coax. If anyone needs to know this worked immediately with Fedora. I had no problems on the Linux side.

The monitor is not perfect. I noticed a change in color, with regard to the brightness. If you move your headHere are realizing more and more dark and brighter when you move your head. This does not worry me because I always sat in the same situation but I could see how this would be a problem for someone else. The speakers are not very big, but come on … What were your expectations? I rarely watch TV on your monitor … But if I have no problem with the audio quality they had. The only real problem I have with this? Power button! I've had for a year and I still do not, turn every timeI try. How many mentions of the other reviews … there is no actual button press. Only one sensor area. Then, try to learn to put your finger on the right place. I quickly realized the easiest way to do this was just crawling down with the thumb and was raised to about 80% of the time.

The same monitor, it looks good. I like the edge of the glass and the curve at the bottom of the monitor. I always get compliments when you see the monitorthe first time. And 'certainly a nice size "wow factor. I was originally looking for" 30 monitor … but the leap in prices was simply ridiculous. I am very pleased with this monitor.

The best PC monitor I ever owned, period – Alex Striganov – Irvine, CA, USA
Samsung T260 Touch of Color 25.5-inch LCD HDTV
As an engineer are quite picky in terms of PC hardware, never mind, a memory module, motherboard or monitor.
This is my monitor, while two years and use it as 16 hours each day. It 'absolutely perfect for me. I am very happy with its colors, sharp resolution, communication skills and look beautiful.
The viewing angle is too large, no flash, no harm, even at the pixel level, without extensive modifications toCorners of the screen, is the response time as fast as I need. The VGA input is almost as good as the HDMI input, its quality depends more on the graphics card. I never had sync problems.
Two years ago I paid $ 499 for them on Amazon and worth every penny in my opinion.

Great television – Alyssa A. Lappen – Earth
We bought a refurbished unit from a competitor in the Amazon last December for much less than what is sold here. In any case, the first frame of the machine was broken, replaced by the manufacturer, is very fast and we were happy watching TV as a digital device.

Our only problem is with the volume, which is sometimes too soft, even 100%, watching old movies on TCM. For most, however, is not a problem.

Asothers complain about this device you can imagine, I do not know why.

Even 30 "and 32" screens cost much more than this unit. Although we have never one so big, but our old analog devices have never been greater than this, either. We could not understand why anyone would pay much more than a few inches TV screen, and we are very pleased that we have not.

If you have a group that loves cable or antenna, it works Samsung is great.

Hello,

Just in case it helps someone: I accidentally pressed the TV / monitor when I moved them (my fault, careless) and I have a 3 "scratch on the screen, with a deep divot at one end. My heart sank. I looked up and corrections online darned if it is not entirely certain how to approach her. Here's what worked for me. Take a Q-Tip or a similar product, put Vaseline at the end of it, then slowly work Vaseline scratches longitudinally. Remove the excess. canChoose to do this several times, depending on how well the first patch. My result is an improvement of 90%, and from normal viewing distance I can not see, if I try. Yay! The reason this works is, apparently, that the thin plastic plate, LCD screens, which also includes the holder of such (transfer costs?) Properties Vaseline, since they are both petroleum products. Interesting. The bottom line is, it works! Good luck.

BTW, the only deductions I give thisTV's otherwise excellent for sound. It's terrible. I turned my attitude and brass is at least bearable, but should not use it to plan any serious consideration AV. I bought a Logitech computer speakers for $ 26, including the subwoofer, and is a great improvement over standard TV audio. It seems that Sony put all their money in the video, and that's okay for me because it is a real eye-catcher.

Samsung Touch Of Color T260HD 25.5-Inch LCD HDTV Monitor Review

I brought this especially for its 1200 vertical resolution, I just want one before they were all replaced by buying the 1080 I use mainly for viewing of documents and planning purposes with 1200 vertical resolution, it is easier to see two pages of documents PDF at a time.

Overall, this is as good as other Samsung monitors, I use to watch TV when not connected to my laptop as an external monitor. The issue is particularly good as a TV, but I have a problem with himused as a monitor: the VGA cable that came with it does not seem very good, at least not working properly with my Thinkpad T60 laptop, there is increasingly little distortion, no matter how you adjust. In contrast, my other VGA cable comes with an Acer does not have this problem when I use to connect to my T60 and T260. But to my final solution: a new laptop with HDMI port that everything was resolved and now the picture is clear enough.

AND Itwo errors in other reviews:

1, the auditor said it was impossible to change the brightness were used for digital connections like DVI or HDMI, not set to true, you can use it in the menu when set to connect to DVI or HDMI, and it is not difficult.

2, the auditor said that you can not adjust the TV picture to 16:9 (with the glossy black top and bottom) and have always been curious about the screen, what I found is to fill with my Comcast cable you Always adjust the display mode witha button on the remote. There are different sets of fashion for digital and analog signals, but 16:9 is always available.

I give it five stars simply because they give the best of the few 1920 x 1200 monitor on the market, and the fact that I have it for only 330USD.

I was on a display that would replace Apple LED Cinema Display 24-Zoll-MB382LL/AI we had at work. I wanted a contrast with the same brightness (300 cd), resolution (1920 x 1200) and good. I also thought of an HDTV tuner to do as well because the screen connected to our home office for most of the day without my Mac for it (I work in the office, but a freelancer at home). I was on the price of some $ 500 less than Apple has sold.

I was abit 'nervous, but their size, although this indicator is the same resolution as the Cinema Display, which was 1.5 inches larger. Once I unpacked and started using it, which was less of a problem. Especially in my particular setup … I use the display about a foot behind my laptop on a grid. And of course if you use a TV, the size is not a problem.

The colors are great, but need some adjustments at first. The light is phenomenal and the picture seems clearer in terms of textRendered my MacBook Pro 17 "HD display. So far I'm really liking this show. I have not started thinking about the use of all inputs, but there is much of what ever your setup.

I brought this mainly for its 1200 vertical resolution, I just want to buy one before they were all replaced by the 1080 ones. I mainly use this for document viewing and programming purpose, with 1200 vertical resolution it’s easier to view two pages of PDF documents at a time.

Overall this is just as good as other Samsung monitors, I use it to watch TV when not connected to my laptop as external monitor. This thing is especially good as a TV, but I do have an issue with it being used as a monitor: The VGA cable that came with it seems not very good, at least not working properly with my Thinkpad T60 laptop, there are always minor image distortions no matter how you adjust it. In contrast, my other VGA cable that came with an ACER monitor doesn’t have this problem when I use it to connect my T60 and T260HD. But my final solution: brought a new laptop which came with HDMI port, that solved everything and now the picture is perfectly clear.

And I have to point out two errors in other reviews:

1, A reviewer said it’s impossible to adjust brightness when digital connections were used, like DVI or HDMI, not true, you can adjust them in the menu when connect with DVI or HDMI and it’s not difficult.

2, A reviewer said you can’t adjust the TV picture to 16:9 (with black blank on top and bottom) and they always been stretched to fill the screen, what I found out with my comcast cable is that you can always adjust the display mode with a button on the remote. It do have different mode sets for digital and analog signals, but 16:9 is always available.

I will give it a 5 star simply because this is the best of the few 1920 by 1200 monitors left on the market, and the fact that I got it for only 330USD.

We bought a refurbished unit from an Amazon competitor last December for considerably less than it is sold here. In any case, while the frame of the first unit arrived cracked, the manufacturer replaced it very promptly and we have been happily watching digital television on this unit ever since.

Our only issue is with the sound volume, which is sometimes too soft, even at 100%, when watching old movies on TCM. For the most part, however, that is not a problem.

As to others who complain about this unit, I cannot imagine why.

Even 30″ and 32″ screens cost a great deal more than this unit. We admittedly have never had one that large, but our old analog sets were never any larger than this one, either. We could not understand why anyone would spend so much more for a few inches more of TV screen, and we’re perfectly happy that we didn’t.

If you want a set that works fine with cable or antenna signals, this Samsung unit is terrific.

How to fix a scratch in the screen – R. Trimble – San Jose, Ca.
Hi,

Just in case it’s helpful to someone: I accidentally bumped this TV/monitor when I was moving it (my fault, careless) and I put about a 3″ scratch in the screen, with a deeper divot at one end. My heart sank. I looked up fixes online and darned if there weren’t quite a few ways to approach it. Here’s what worked for me. Take a Q-tip or similar product, put some vaseline on the end of it, then slowly work the vaseline into the scratch lengthwise. Wipe off the excess. You may choose to do this several times, depending on how well the first patch works. My result is about a 90% improvement, and from normal viewing distance I can’t see it if I try. Yay! The reason that this works, apparently, is that the thin plastic sheet that covers lcd screens has similar light-conducting (transferal?) properties to vaseline, since they’re both petroleum by-products. Interesting. The bottom line is- it works! Good luck.

BTW, the only deductions I give this otherwise-excellent TV is for the sound. It’s awful. I turned mine to the least tinny setting and it’s tolerable, but I wouldn’t plan on using it for any serious AV viewing. I bought a Logitech computer speaker system for , including subwoofer, and it’s a big improvement over the default TV sound. It seems Samsung put all of their money into the video, and that’s okay with me because it’s a good looking TV.

I was looking for a display that would replace the Apple LED Cinema Display 24-Inch MB382LL/A I had at work. I wanted one with equivalent brightness (300cd), resolution (1920 X 1200) and good contrast. I also thought about doing an HDTV tuner as well, because the display will be in our office at home for a good portion of the day without my mac hooked to it (I work in the office but freelance at home). I was sold on the price which was about 0 less than the apple display.

I was a little nervous about the size though; though this display is the same resolution as the Cinema Display, it was 1.5 inches larger. Once I unpacked it and started using it, that was less of a problem. Especially in my particular setup… I use the display about a foot behind my laptop on a rack. And of course, when used as a TV, the size is not an issue.

Colors are great, though need some tweaking at first. Brightness is phenomenal and the picture seems clearer in terms of text rendering than my MacBook Pro’s 17″ HD display. So far, I am really liking this display. I haven’t even started to think about using all the inputs, but there are plenty for whatever your setup may be.

Samsung Touch Of Color T260HD 25.5-Inch LCD HDTV Monitor Review

I love this monitor! I use 90% as a computer monitor and 10% for videos. I wanted a monitor that would look like my modern decor and not respond as a "corporate cubic inches. Here is my report:

1) Aesthetically, this monitor looks great. Has a clear frame around the edges of the screen. The "tock" Taste of color is red / pink to highlight the bottom. Very tastefully decorated! The front has no exposed buttons and looks elegant and sexy. The T260 isone of the best looking monitor out there. LCD monitors are 11 in possession and appearance have always been on my list. The back is gloss black and looks noble. No shame in showing off the back of the monitor. Required in industrial design, soft lines and rounded curves and broken and the typical square block. My complaint is not just the steering wheel. Can be rotated to the right and left. The stand is much more stable, even if her husband across the rock youtube the monitor with his hands. No one is rocking my T260 so!

2) I use mainly as a computer monitor. This monitor is 1900×1200 @ 16:10 ration, not the bottom 1900×1080 @ 16:9. The ratio of 16:10 gives you more vertical screen size for less scrolling mouse. The resolution 1900×1200 is almost mandatory for a little over 24 "in size. The text is simply more vivid. P2770HD returned my Samsung 27" monitor, because the cut is not 1900×1080. The text has not been strong enough for my 20/10Vision eyes. (better than 20/20). My husband is mad Excel spreadsheets are beautiful in all its glory, display 10 font size for 13.7 "x 21.75". Windows 7 snap function allows me to have the documents to 2, each measuring 13.7 "H x 10, 8" W. This is more than 8 "x11"!

3) This monitor is ready for connecting cable TV or HDMI source. This is fine with 720P sources and better quality. 16:10 The leaves of a bar top and bottom. Not bother me much. I'll take anyday 16:1016:9. I already used two 19 "4:3 screen in landscape mode, which to me more of a screen 28" monitor. 1080P materials, such as Blue Ray is excellent. However, you must spend about 20 minutes, in order to choose the color settings. Some critics of the cast green complainted, well, you can set it off!

Overall I'm very impressed with the Samsung T260. I bought here on Amazon for $ 299, excluding taxes and shipping! That's right, it was lower than Newegg! IPress to see the "Update" button and navigate to batches of 10 to zero, then back to BAM $ 329 this monitor is $ 499 to $ 599 when it first came out. This is the most beautiful monitor / TV out now. Only HP has something similar. Images on the Internet does not control this justice. If you read at your local electronics store.

There are many reviews praising this monitor, so I no longer have the space to another. However, there are a number of criticisms that leave negative feedback for this article, and I think some of them are easily confused.

Washed out color:

There is a very limited viewing angle for display when it is almost directly in front of the monitor, the colors are faded. That said, this monitor is better to use for writing, not asmounted TV in the living room.

Phantom, bad image, the text is blurry

Several reviews commented on the very poor image quality as a monitor, but big picture, if you use as a TV. This is probably not a defect of the monitor itself, but the monitor cable, or maybe even the graphics of the user's computer. If you use a VGA cable supports the cheap, which is not capable of a resolution of 1920×1200, then you will have a poor quality of blurred image with the text. Beyond that, I foundVGA cable supplied must be reasonable, and a lousy graphics card integrated into a Fujitsu Lifebook, to be able to handle not one but two of the Samsung T260.

Back light bleeding

Yes, this monitor back causes the edges a bit 'brighter. But the lighter areas on the edges no more than 1 cm. Furthermore, it is evident only when the screen is completely black when I make a film, a game the monitor or something else,is completely inaudible.

– "Black is not black enough"

Never had this problem with both the T260 and T260. Blacks are transformed into a dark blue when you view the monitor from an angle of evil.

Poor quality speakers

They are ok for TV, but perhaps not the best for games and movies. However, you can easily check the connection to a loudspeaker system.

Power button is inoperative

Both the touch keys on the T260 and T260 to work well forme. Takes a little more use, that's all.

All in all, a big monitor, but not perfect / HDTV. I'm not an expert, so please correct me if there are errors in my review. Good luck to monitor the hunt, which is right for you.

Two Thumbs Up. – A. Smith – Bay Area, CA
I bought via Amazon and [...] on the street because I had just bought a PS3 and did not want Blu-ray and PS3 to play for the first time on the hotel television. I talked to myself in this be ok, because I was always a computer monitor from the shop that I use when I get home. So far I was satisfied on both accounts. I have my laptop just to experience the big screen and seemed very strong for me, playing with a little ', but it was not asMonitor.

I think that is very good as HDTV for gaming PS3 MLB ('10: The Show "and" Bioshock 2 "so far) and in films, DVD and Blu-ray is. I agree with some others that was not the best horizontal (I believe it is true, which means you do not want to sit down and look to him), angle of vision. It is slightly tilted (20 degrees I think), which helped. I brought the PS3 settings and set the color and sound on the monitor in a dynamic and although INot a videophile, I think it looks awesome. The sound is not great, but it is not unbearable, and I did not expect the full and dynamic sound from the monitor speakers. That's all I had, I believe that no buyer (repentance from me until my wife finds out that I have a PS3 and TV, while I was gone, purchased).

Excellent! – Victor Flores – Los Angeles, CA USA
I was looking for a PC monitor + HDTV big enough to fit in my home office. After completing the search for the right model, I followed this and all the comments on it.

I had some problems trying to get the maximum resolution on my PC at home, but have found the video card could not keep up. I get a different result with my laptop at home, and the video resolution I took my TV signal is impressive.

I had a little play with the colorsSettings max the potential of this TV screen. But in general I'd say it has exceeded my expectations.
