We really did not need a new monitor for our old Mac Pro G5. The 15 "Sony CRT is still working and was burned in outline from the desktop Mac is not really a problem. My wife uses the computer almost exclusively and may not messed with it myself. I thought that with the price of the LCD, so low I could give a gift without having to wait for a special occasion.
