ViewSonic VX2240w 22-inch Digital/Analog Widescreen LCD Monitor Review
I bought this new monitor with a Mac mini. Our old monitor is VGA only. The standard adapter with the mini-DVI and VGA Adapter is an additional cost. This VX2240W has both interfaces so that it was a good fit, without buying another adapter .. The monitor is very bright and I turned the brightness a lot. But I'm glad that even in a sunny room, no glare and the screen is bright enough to see a well lit room. I run the monitor1680 x 1050 Nice and crisp and the colors are good, as soon as I set the MAC. For normal use of the computer, I would say that this is a good choice. This is my second Viewsonic monitor and my old man is still strong.

This monitor is good, but I had two pixels burn out, which is located right in the middle of the screen .. I read that you burn out pixels not covered under warranty … Junker! but it is a really good monitor in the direction of performance and quality.

I am not satisfied with the LCD monitor from ViewSonic. We used the system automation in radio studios, but for photo editing, are not impressed with the color and contrast much. I feel like my company (albeit late) for the purchase of an LCD flat screen was a failure. I prefer the CRT for photo order.
Do not do that if you work almost exclusively with Word documents. In this contect this monitor is fine.
Fatal flaw – chris r –
As other reviewers have noted, the function of dynamic contrast it back when the monitor goes into power saving mode or turned off. This is a nuisance, since the function must be switched off and makes video look terrible. Apparently newer versions of the monitor fixed this problem, but I have an old man. I contacted Viewsonic support and there is no firmware update or something for older versions.
